The new Base Fire Hall and Emergency Response Centre was officially opened today at the Canadian Forces Base in Esquimalt. This purpose-built 47,770-square-foot fire hall cost $35 million and includes a three-storey main building, training tower, five-bay apparatus hall, gym, classrooms, dorms, change rooms, a kitchen and new fire trucks.

Four platoons will use the hall on 24-hour shifts. They will eat, sleep, train and work there, monitoring and responding to 911 calls and alarms.
Agenda is proud to be the furniture supplier for the bright-red building that is outfitted with state-of-the art technology and equipment.
Setting up the dispatch and alarm room involved collaboration on ergonomics. “This project was special. We worked together and platoon members played a vital role in determining the layout. We wanted to get it just right,” said Eric Service of Defense Construction Canada.
The CFB Esquimalt Firehall is located at 1350 Esquimalt Road, Victoria BC.
